From today, Monday 18 May, we're pleased to be rolling out Microsoft Teams to all of our students - just one of the many enhancements we'll be making over the coming months to improve your student experience.

Microsoft Teams allows you to share ideas and meet easily and securely online, from any device, with your fellow students, lecturers and student support staff.

Once fully deployed by the University and you've opened Microsoft Teams (either online or via the Microsoft Teams apps, available for all desktop and mobile devices), you should see a team called ‘All University Students’. The University will use this channel as an important and efficient way of communicating with you over the summer break, including our teaching delivery plans for September 2020. Please set up notifications and check it regularly to stay informed.

Your lecturers will continue to use Blackboard for teaching and learning delivery, with the Blackboard Collaborate tool used for most live online classes and tutorials.

Teams has been provided for use outside of your classes by your personal tutors, for conversations between students, and between support staff and students. The University’s policy on acceptable use of Teams can be found here.

The release will be staggered, but should be complete by the end of this week. Be sure to download the app for your devices ASAP to ensure you're able to have the best experience with Teams.
