On Tuesday 7 March 2017 at 21:00, the ITS Department will be simplifying the way that you reset your Regent’s IT account password.

How will this affect me?Currently the Password Reset Portal requires you to remember at least 3 security questions which can be forgotten easily. Now you can simply get a verification code sent to your mobile phone, additional email address or receive a call to your landline. It will be similar to the way that you reset your password for your Gmail, Hotmail or similar type account.

How will it benefit me?
You will be able to register for the service in 2 simple steps:

  1. Navigating to the Office365 portal (officeapps.regents.ac.uk)
  2. Registering an alternate email (e.g. doeJ@yahoo.com) and/or mobile phone number.

Anytime you need to reset your password all you need to remember is: reset.regents.ac.uk

Additional Information:

When next you change your password, the new password must comply with the following:

  1. Your Password must be at least 8 Characters
  2. Your Password cannot be a previously used password
  3. Your Password must contain at least one of each of the following:
    • English uppercase characters (A through Z)
    • English lowercase characters (a through z)
    • Numbers (0 through 9)
    • Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
