We are pleased to announce that this summer, Regent’s Institute of Languages and Culture (RILC) is running a China Culture and Business summer programme in Beijing with Kede College, Capital Normal University.

Do you want to experience modern China and learn about Chinese culture and business? Here is the opportunity! This programme will take you to Beijing, China to experience not only its fast-economic development, but also learn to appreciate its long history and different culture. Knowledge of Chinese is not required to participate in this programme. All the students will have a Chinese student partner to work together with you during the programme, and what is more, you will stay at your partners’ home for two days to experience everyday life in Beijing from the insider’s perspective.

The programme will be sponsored by Kede College, Capital Normal University. The College will cover the cost of the programme, accommodation (on-campus twin room), food subsidy (¥100 per day) and local programme-related travel. Participants only need to pay for their international travel to and from Beijing, their visa and personal daily expenses.

All Regent’s undergraduate and postgraduate students can apply, but places are limited, so please apply as soon as possible. Applications will be considered on a first come first served basis.

The programmed is designed to allow students who join the Tsinghua summer volunteer programme (finishing at 29th July) to continue to this programme.
This programme is especially beneficial for Student Union members, including student reps and student club leaders.

Students studying Chinese language will find it extremely helpful for your SPA study in China.
